Enhanced Version:
New Dance Rhythms with Chinese Essence
An audacious eavor bling ancient wisdom and modernity, Eastern elegance and Western grace in dance - this show presents a collection of award-winning performances. A highlight is Whispers of the Pines by the Hong Kong Dance Company; its forceful yet gentle motions embody the traditional Confucian principle of 'harmony amidst contrast'.
Another spectacular aspect is two segments from the grand dance poem, Dunhuang Reflections produced by the Hong Kong Dance Federation. These are special pieces from organizations affiliated with the Hong Kong Dance Industry and The Ballad of Dragon from Starwave Production inspired by China's intangible cultural heritage - Fire Dragon Dance.
Follow-Up Activities:
On July 18th Thursday, around 10pm, there will be an after-performance artist QA session at the Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium.
Performance Detls:
The event spans approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes with a brief intermission of 10 minutes.
