A Northern Virginia native is tirelessly working on an awareness campgn med at debunking the misconceptions surrounding -of-life care. Steve Cone, Capital Caring Health's Chief of Communications and Philanthropy, emphasizes the importance of understanding hospice services for families with loved ones who could benefit from it.

In 2017, this non-profit organization provided care to nearly 7,000 patients and granted over $3 million in charity assistance for those underinsured or uninsured. Cone highlights that enrolling a patient into hospice care earlier can ext the precious time they have with their family and fris.

According to research, hospice care has been shown to prolong the life of patients compared to hospital settings. Capital Caring Health offers two hospice facilities but predominantly provides care at patients' homes due to the comfort it brings for both the patient and their loved ones, eliminating restrictions that hospitals may impose.

A former Wall Street professional with a 30-year career under his belt, Cone finds fulfillment in assisting those nearing the of their lives by ensuring they receive dignified care tlored to their needs.
