Northern School of Contemporary Dance offers an MA in Interdisciplinary Dance Performance, providing opportunities for dancers and movement artists at various career stages to expand their artistic practices beyond traditional performance methodologies. This program is designed to facilitate the development of skills necessary for performers interested in works that require interdisciplinary approaches combining dance with theatre, performance art, film, and other creative fields.
The curriculum encompasses a comprehensive preparation for dancers from diverse disciplines looking to engage in projects that demand collaboration across multiple artistic domns. Through collaborative work with leading interdisciplinary artists such as Florence Peake, Complicite Theatre, and Benji Reid, students will participate in three major projects during the course of study.
In addition to these projects, students can expect to att laboratories hosted by contemporary artists active within the field of dance performance and related areas. These sessions are med at enhancing skills in stage presence, diverse performative styles, confidence building, generosity in performance, as well as increasing professional competencies that enhance employability in the industry.

Each module carries a credit value ranging from 15 to 60 credits, culminating in a substantial research project worth 60 credits in the final term.

We provide additional classes that are often included free of cost with our students' membership, covering areas such as Gaga technique, pointe work, fitness trning, men's ballet vocabulary, yoga, percussion lessons for dancers, lighting design for performance arts, gymnastics for dancers.
Furthermore, NSCD offers reduced-price theatre tickets and exclusive deals on top of our existing professional development opportunities like talks from visiting artists and practitioners.

Admission Requirements:
The program is open to graduates of twothree-year dance trning programs at a higher education level or dancers with equivalent vocational trning and professional experience.
Non-native English speakers must demonstrate proficiency through an ESOL certificate level 6.5 minimum including reading, speaking and listening.
Entry criteria include successful auditioning and interview process.
